‘The Forum as the greatest public servant of Rome’
From the lowly Plebes to the patrician Senators, the public square hosted speeches, criminal trials and even the odd gladiator match. One could even argue the forum was the true center of the Republic and the Empire that followed.
In what had been a far more savage and unforgiving world, the Romans valued even then the right to speak.
For me, this shall be my forum to share my stories and speak the many truths I have learned in my travels. From the beaches of Sandy Hook, to the Halls of Montezuma and the mountains of Afghanistan, there’s an anecdote in every cave and a pun in every pun.
I challenge any who read this to judge me fairly and to criticize my writing harshly. It is only the participation of an audience does this whole circus succeed.
“The only thing worse then being talked about is not being talked about.”
